FSRU/FLNG Barge - Conceptual Design

We can develop tailormade designs according the client and project needs

The LNT A-BOX allows a barge design with a flat deck, making the topside suitable for regasification and liquefaction modules. With sloshing mitigated by the robust tank structure, the barge can operate in harsh offshore environments.

180,000m³ FSRU Barge

The 180,000m³ storage capacity is sized to match incoming cargo loading and regas needs with superior BOR performance with lower reliquefaction energy required. No loading level limitations giving operational flexibility.

Initial design parameters:

  • 180,000m³
  • 260m x 48m X 31m
  • No propulsion
  • Spread-moored
  • Benign to harsh seas
  • 4 LNT A-BOX tanks in aluminum
  • Regas system to client requirements
  • Accommodation for minimum for safe manning
  • IACS Classification

Simple construction

Separate manufacturer and delivery of tanks and a simple barge construction enables more shipyards and reduces delivery time and price.

Intrinsically Safe

The high integrity of the LNT A-BOX IMO A tank type is a proven, robust and safe design for LNG carriage. With accessible interbarrier space the containment system can be inspected and maintained if necessary on location with a no drydocking notation.
